Life lines an abstract artwork using homemade flower dyed Irish linen, foraged charcoal and pigment marks, and homemade botanical inks including coffee, oak gall and tea, adhered to a wooden panel.
A red thread ties two sections together representing family and friends, and how they are lifelines. Without them I'd be truly lost.
The linen has been cleansed with sage its roots in Native American tradition cleanse negative energy to generate wisdom, clarity and healing. The sage burn marks are visible in the piece itself, becoming part of the work.
